We've pre-filled the conventional choices for your language and citation style — adjust anything you want.

The font the whole document is written in: body text, headings and the reference list. Each sample is drawn in the font itself.

The size of the body text, in points. Chapter headings are 2 points larger than the body and sub-headings 1 point larger. The sample is shown at actual size.

The space between lines of body text. Unless your supervisor says otherwise, one-and-a-half or double spacing is the usual choice.

How lines are arranged in the body text. Justified gives straight edges on both sides and is the usual choice in academic work.

In a Hebrew document (or any right-to-left language) too, "align left" and "align right" mean the left and the right edge of the page. The samples show the real result.

How chapter and section titles are formatted throughout the document.

Paragraphs are told apart either by a first-line indent (1.27 cm) or by a 6-point gap between paragraphs.

Numbering starts at 1 on the abstract page (or on the first page of the body if there is no abstract), after the cover page, table of contents and lists, and continues to the end of the document, including the reference list.

In a Hebrew document (or any right-to-left language) too, each position is where it says on the printed page: "left" is the left corner and "right" is the right corner.
